Almost fell off cos dad took too long to focus and press the damn button!
I got him to pose that way. Hahaha
Tired face
Like father like son?
Steering, ignition key and forward/reverse gear + 30hp yamaha engine at the back
The countdown party right in front of us
I loved the view from our boat
My dad recorded a video of us driving to our patrol area - to stop other vessels from trespassing the fireworks area. Can't really see me driving the boat, as it's just a hp camera.
AND FINALLY THE COUNTDOWN BEGAN, FOLLOWED BY THE LONG AWAITED FIREWORKS!
One month of intense work finally paid off. In a matter of eight minutes. First 2 weeks was concentrated on tying the wishing spheres into the network of fishing lines my uncle tied udnerwater. The next 2 weeks were the installation of fireworks. And the fireworks were beautiful. Especially when you get to watch it from the closest range one could ever get. Me,dad and the Cisco saw a piece of burning firework shell splash into the water just beside our boat! Our hair was full of debris after that, and our vision of the areas around us blurred due to the high output of smoke created by the fireworks.
But it all went well. No glitches. Except that one of our rescue boats capsized and its engine needed an overhaul.
Im gonna work for it again for 2010 countdown. Mainly due to the high pay they give. Not gonna tell here. Hahahaha.
And to Miss GF, 11th month is in a few hours! Wo Ai Ni! (:
