Just came back from class chalet (will blog about this in my next post). Before that, last Saturday went to shoot videos with Hazwan and his Chevrolet Aveo. We drove to Punggol at abt 8.30am. Did the various shots for the video (we decided to make it more deocumentary than extreme, we dun wanna get ourselves into trouble with the authorities after that), and took some pics before passing the keys to me. I drove around on the stretch of open road. Then, an almost-tragedy struck on our way back to Hougang.

We were going 70kmh on the main road. As we approached the traffic light, the light turns amber and we accelerated to clear the traffic light. At the same time,a Hyundai Sonata Comfort Delgro Taxi SHC 8424 Y,which was travelling at the right lane (note that on the road, there were 3 lanes. left lane was our aveo, centre lane was a toyota wish and right lane was the taxi), suddenly made a retarded 2-lane change cutting across the toyota wish and our fast approaching aveo because we accelerted hard to clear the traffic light. The abrupt lane change the taxi made caused the toyota wish driver to make a dangerous swerve to the left lane in order to avoid hitting the taxi. We knew that if we didnt do something quick, we'll be totaled. So Hazwan braked hard and swerved left to avoid the wish. The car understeered and began to skid more towards the wish. Luckily the ABS (automated braking system )kicked in and the car made a turn to the left kerb (at that point of time, we were already approaching the next traffic light) and we managed to squeeze through the left pedestrian crossing on the opposite side of the road without injuring any pedestrians. Hazwan was pissed off and he sped to catch up with the taxi driver.
When we approached the taxi,we saw the driver. The driver was female, and was on the phone earpiece. As I was holding a camera at that point of time, I managed to take a pic of the taxi license plate. We decided to let her off since no damage was done and no one was injured. We stopped by Hougang Sports complex to check on the car. Amazingly, no damage.

Last Sunday went to Comex with my family to scout for a laptop for my uncle and printer for me. After rounding the ultimate madness of Sunday crowds, we managed to settle for Acer Aspire 4920G for $1388 with MS OFFICE and 4GB thumbdrive.Freaking good deal as I did my best in tekan-ing the Acer promoters(rmb i once promoted Acer laptops in March), managed to drop price from $1599 to $1420 to $1388.Off to Canon to look for a suitable photo printer for myself. I din even bother to look for Epson, my previous one broke down on me twice and that's it, no more Epson. Then, Canon Pixma iP4200 caught my eye @ $169. Market price was $249! Saw the demo printouts, looked really convincing...and the best thing was..uncle bought it for me!..hahaha..thx a lot..

Went for dinner after that at Gluttons Bay.One of my uncle's stall there sells satay ,indian and malay food. It's the only halal stall there, and it's worth a try, esp the mee kuah. Went home after that, full and satisfied because...

I have a new printer!

One last thing I would like to touch on, to my fellow friends, pls try not to bug me into taking a class 2B and asking me why I decide not to take it for the time being. Ask me personally if u wanna know why...stop comparing me with the rest of my age who have already passed 2B. Let me concentrate on my driving first. I wanna own a car after that, and i feel like its useless holding a 2b license.

And to see many of my friends who had mishaps just after passing their 2B and have began riding, i'm delaying myself in taking it now. To my poly friends Ruzaini and Suhaila,I wish u both a speedy recovery and do well for your belated papers.

Word of advice, do not speed unnecessarily. Treasure ur loved ones.

Moving on to kayaking, tml's expedition is postponed to next week. To Yana, all the best for ur 2-star course, we'll be waiting for one more member to join our expeditions =P
