Woke up damn late today. Was supposed to meet the rest at 10am and I woke up at 9.15. But I was prepared, I packed my bag yesterday. So I quickly changed up and took 156 to Bishan. Reached at 10.10 cos i was so damn lucky the bus driver had to miss a lot of stops cos no passenger to board from bus stops and the people who board the bus normally alight at yio chu kang road or junction 8. Waited for Jun Hua, Wei Jun, Dinie, Guang Zheng and Jun Cai to come. We took 156 (luck was on our side, we got the nokia music mobile bus) and took a comfortable 3 bus stop ride to the macritchie reservoir. Reached there to meet Malcolm. We settled down at one of the shelters and I went for a 20 minute jog with jun cai. Then Helmi, Jamie and Carlye reached and off we went for kayaking. Dinie, Guang Zheng and Malcolm took single open deck kayak, Jamie, Carlye,Jun Hua and Wei Jun took double open deck kayak, and me n helmi took single closed deck recreational kayaks (we just got our star cert last 2 weeks =P)

During kayaking, we did lots of stupid stunts ; Dinie will always think of ideas to make a fool of himself. He capsized twice in a row on an impossible-to-capsize open deck kayak. Helmi and me did numerous capsize drills, which is only done during an emergency but we just find it fun. After 1 hr of kayaking, we all went ashore to rest. Helmi and me booked 2 hrs, so we continued after the whole group rested. So it's just me and Helmi this time. We kayak-ed out of the demarcted area and went on to the other end of the reservoir (only certified paddlers are allowed), i can bet u it was hella tiring! Luckily when we were kayaking back to shore, we were going with the current.

After that, went ashore, kept our kayaks and equipment and washed up. Headed to Thomson Plaza for dinner. Whole group armed with coupons stormed Burger King and launched our attack on those yummy flame-grilled burgers! (we were so damn freaking hungry lah!)

Then we separated and took our own buses home =D

To all who went today, thanks guys, u were great, im sure we all enjoyed ourselves. To those who cant be bothered to join us, well i've been thinking that it was a wasted opportunity, too bad! Hahahaha!
